Local Students Accepted to Esteemed Summer Medical Camp
[La Grande, OR—May 3, 2017]: Northeast Oregon Area Health Education Center (NEOAHEC) of La Grande has selected 36 students to attend its 25th Annual MedQuest Health Career Exploration Camp, which will take place from June 19-23, 2017. These distinguished young applicants were chosen from a pool of more than 60 candidates from across Oregon, and were selected based on their GPA, extracurricular involvement, essays, passion for the healthcare field, and many other relevant factors.
MedQuest is Oregon’s only health career exploration camp and is held at the Eastern Oregon University campus and surrounding community. It exposes students completing grades 9-12 to a variety of unique medical experiences, including various types of healthcare training, live surgeries, tours of medical facilities, ambulance calls, and more. Students also participate in exciting job shadows, panel discussions, and local recreational activities.
